Shadow is a 10 year old registered paint mare with a gorgeous black coat and bald face. She has fantastic ground manners and stands tied all day (no pawing, no fuss), for tacking, mounting, bathing, vet, and farrier work. She is up to date on all vet and farrier care. Shadow is an easy keeper and lives out 24/7 with a herd of other horses, gets a daily ration balancer, and wears front shoes (but can easily go barefoot without issue).
We have used Shadow in our small lesson program (1-2 lessons per week) for almost two years where she has taught beginners the importance of functional horsemanship including groundwork, tacking, riding, trailer loading, obstacles, and more. She is a pleasure to be around and has great forward movement.
We would not recommend Shadow for a true beginner without a trainer or for a child as she is sensitive to aids. She loves a rider with quiet energy and soft hands.

We are offering our 3yo Thoroughbred (unraced) gelding for sale. We started him last winter after spending a year working with him on the ground (crossing obstacles, trailer loading, bathing, etc). He's been used in many groundwork lessons at our farm and has done fantastic with beginners and experienced horse folks alike. He's been barefoot his entire life with great feet and is up to date on all vaccines. He lives outside with a herd of other horses 24/7 and gets a ration balancer - he's well-socialized and easy to get along with other horses.
Rian has an amazing temperament and would make a fantastic partner for someone interested in trail riding, open shows, lessons, etc. We would not recommend him for beginners as he is still a green horse who needs experience and exposure like any other young horse.
